A Song for When… You Don’t Know What to Say
Highs and lows. Problems and solutions. Ups and downs. Hills and valleys. Life is a roller coaster ride. Is this your personal experience? Have you ever come up against a valley that you just couldn’t find a way out of? A problem that does not seem to have a solution?
Right now, I could name several different people in my life who are in seemingly hopeless situations. Two come to mind immediately. One of them is causing a lot of harm to loved ones because of the trying circumstance, and one of them is mostly just causing a lot of harm to himself. Lots of prayers have been offered for both of these people, and humans have tried to intervene and help. Nothing has been successful. Obviously I will keep praying and trying to guide them back onto God’s path.
And also? I will speak the name of Jesus over my loved ones. Have you heard the powerful song, “I Speak Jesus,” by Charity Gayle? It ushers listeners into the presence of God and creates an atmosphere of the incomparable authority of God’s name. Just think about how amazing it would be to speak His name over every single person in your life who needs the peace, hope and joy His name brings. Look how the song starts:

His name has power over every earthly struggle and affliction! It has power over ADDICTIONS:

Simply speaking the name of Jesus can heal any of these struggles in an instant. What a powerful thought and an important reminder of the power of wielding the name of our God and mighty King. When you’re at your wits’ end and don’t know what else to do, just say His name. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus.

Just thinking about the name of Jesus filling the atmosphere in mountain ranges and on streets in every corner of the world is such a majestic thought. But it’s that “Jesus for my family” line that gets me emotional! When I sing the word family, my family members who are not walking with the Lord come to mind. As someone who relishes the joy and beauty of walking as closely with Christ as I possibly can, it fills my heart with sadness to think about my loved ones who are struggling through life without Jesus. Of course, it’s easy for ME to see that so many of their problems would be solved if they just surrendered to God! It is difficult to patiently wait for them to come to that same realization. So singing, “Jesus for my family,” is intensely personal and emotional. It’s highly likely this is also true for you. ❤️
So if you’re at a point of simply feeling desperate for your loved ones to turn to Jesus, listen to this song and sing the powerful lyrics as a prayer to the Lord. Or if you have a situation you yourself are struggling with, lift your hands to Heaven and let “I Speak Jesus” speak on your behalf.
